A literary agent, philanthropist, and leading advocate for companion dogs, Jane R. Berkey is founder and president of Animal Farm Foundation, Inc. and its research and policy subsidiary the National Canine Research Council. Jane Rotrosen Agency, which she has operated since 1974, represents writers and their intellectual property interests both in the United States and internationally. An early supporter of the NhRP, she is especially moved by the plight of the organization’s first client, Tommy, with whom she had a chance encounter when he was exhibited in public in New York in 2012.
